My love letter to the rejected, the failures, the unmotivated…

Rejection.

This is a nine-letter word that everyone faces.

This is a nine-letter word that everyone will experience at one point in their lives.

Whether it may happen romantically or professionally, the sting still remains impactful. It’s a type of discomfort that one never forgets. You never forget your first heartbreak or the first time someone wrote you, “You’re just not what we were looking for” or “We’ve decided to go in another direction”.

When rejection becomes a pattern you begin to feel numbness. You begin to find a peculiar acceptance when it comes to bad news or rejection. There is almost an expectancy to fail. An expectancy to never hit the mark or better yet fall beneath the mark.

But I write to the numb, to the failure, to the heavy in heart, to the “I don’t know if I can take another no”

Your time is coming.

With every rejection, you are getting closer and closer to your yes ! Envision your yes ! Believe that you are worthy of a yes because you are !

Do not let anyone tell you otherwise, not even yourself!

In moments of uncertainty grab hold unto what is certain. That you are a somebody ! You have not made it this far to fail ! You are somebody’s success story, even when you don’t feel like it.

I write to the rejected. Rejection only has as much power as you give it.

Your story continues even when someone threatens to bring it to a halt.
